Salon De Choix: BANG BANG BANGS!

Last month, I'm back at Salon De Choix for my monthly mane maintenance...

After a loooooong contemplation that lasted for a few months, I finally made up my mind to go back to bangs again!

Why the long contemplation?

Well, to start with...I remembered how determine I was to grow out my very own long fringe and how I wanted to flip them back & forth. Have no bad fringe days when I sleep on the wrong side of the bed, no baby hair sticking out everywhere like static etc.. *the list can go on forever~*

But I came to a point where... I wanna have a huge change.

Changing my hair colour is not gonna make the cut anymore...

I dont wanna chop my hair any shorter as well and so, BANGS it is!

Plus, nobody can deny that short fringe makes you look younger too!

Which is a good thing right?!

DEFINITELY!

So here's my hair before the change!

#20 Salon De Choix: Sombré

Hi everyone!♥

If you've been following my Instagram, you would have noticed that I have upgraded into the working society and am enjoying the whole new career life right now!

To have best of both worlds of looking professional at my job without losing my fashion hues,

Chester gave me a whole new sombré hairstyle that suits the corporate look without looking too dull (:

YES, THAT'S RIGHT!

Going corporate doesn't mean you're gonna lose all that fashion away!

#19 Salon De Choix: PINK HAIR again!♥

Hey everyone!

If you have been following me on my Instagram,

you would have known that I've recently had PINK hair!

Not the whole head of course! Just a few streaks of them.

I wanted them as a self reward for successfully finishing my university course

and heading into the real working world soon!

So before heading in, I wanna have my favourite hair colour for my mini graduation trip to Bangkok!

#18 Salon De Choix: Interview Ready

If you have been following me on my Snapchat & Instagram (@triciakohh),

you would have noticed that I've been embarking on another whole new journey right now and slowly moving into the working adult world.

In order to even step into this world, everyone would definitely have to go through this path called The Interview.

Now, I know that some of you who are reading this might not have graduated yet but...soon you will.

And by then, you will have to face the same scenario as I am right now.

So let me give you some of my tips to ace your interview!

FIRST.

You have to DRESS TO IMPRESS.

The minute you step into the company for the interview. People judge.

I know this sounds really superficial but everyone judges the minute they see you.

Needless to say, an interview.

Dress smart if you're intending to be a salesman, OL, business man of any sort.

You can definitely dress nicer if you're a designer etc but my main point here is that you have to impress your interviewer appropriately.

NEXT.

They look from HEAD TO TOE.

Meaning, you will not only have to dress professionally.

You have to look presentable.

They will definitely look at your tidiness, cleanliness to "judge" your character and working attitude.

So to give it your best shot.

You have to LOOK PRESENTABLE FROM THE TOP.

Now, let me show you how I fix my hair at Salon De Choix.

#17 Salon De Choix: Pixel Hair

Hi ladies!♥

Like what the title says...

I went back to Salon De Choix & get pixelated!

Q. What is pixelated hair?

It's a new hair colour technique that achieves a new chromatic dimension and color pixelated effect on the hair. It plays with the movement and transforming these textures into the appearance of the pixel effect—something that's hardly seen in Singapore yet! Definitely a hair colour technique worth to try for daredevils out there!

#16 Salon De Choix: Chinese New Year + Valentine's Day ♥

In a blink of an eye, it's February already!

February is prolly the shortest yet the most eventful month of the year because

there's Chinese New Year, Valentine's Day & my BF's 23rd Birthday!

So it's time to look pretty & glam up for the festive month!

But first, let me take a celfié.

I received a lot of compliments for my previous hair colour.

(Thank you very much guys♥)

However, I wanted a warmer tone for Chinese New Year & Valentine's Day.
So, Chester recommended partial ombré highlights of copper & red for me. (:

On a side note,

I wanna highlight how much I enjoy Salon De Choix's customer service!

Just look at my dressing table!

There's the latest magazines for entertainment while waiting for your hair to be done,

accessories box to keep your earrings and necklaces and

snack & drinks to keep you company while getting your hair fix.

Look at the list of drinks to choose from!

I'm forever a milo fan so milo for me! v^_^v

Plus, there's always good lighting for celfié and photos!♥

I know all these customer services might be small but it's all the small services that counts!

After getting my highlights & base colour up on my head,

it's time to wait for my hair colour to be fixed and have a hair wash!

I guess I didn't really mention much of this before but I really love having my hair wash at Salon De Choix! They have the best massage chairs that will give you relaxing body massage while having a smoothing head massage at the same time! Definitely an indulgence you should really have before Chinese New Year!

After a refreshing hair wash,

it's time for Kératase Luxury Strengthening Hair Ritual treatment (:

This booster helps to strengthen damaged hair!

P.s.: I didn't know applying hair treatment for customers can be so fun & fulfilling! Haha!!

This is one of Salon De Choix's staff, he's one of the friendliest and soft-spoken staff there!

Time for steam-steam!~

After steaming,

time for hair mask to reinforce and reconstruct hair fibres to have a stronger and smoother finish!

P.s.: I realised I have a small little "tail" only after taking these photos! LOL.

After washing off the mask and much styling by Chester...

I like how it's not too red, subtle enough yet is still visible!

I like how Chester "designed" my hairstyle...

I'm a very indecisive person at times and may get sick and bored of the darker tone

so this is how my sideview looks if I want a darker tone.

& this is how it looks if I want a brighter look!

All I have to do is to flip my hair to the other side!

As simple as that!!!

Ombré copper+red highlights on my left & Brown based on my right!

#14 Salon De Choix: Back to Basic, Back to School ❣

It's been 3 weeks of school now and since school reopen,

I wanted a new hair look...

something more simple and basic JUST FOR SCHOOL!

That kinda explain why the title says...

Back to Basic, Back to School ❣

So here's how my messy, untamed hair looked like before the change.

Front View: Fugly Black Roots that doesn't match with my coloured hair.

Side View: Bleached highlights that became too dry because I kinda over-dyed this part of my hair too much recently with crazy hair colours >.<

Another Side View: Showing how smooth and manageable my hair still looks after soooo many chemical treatments with Salon De Choix because of they're awesome treatments I received after every chemical treatment I did!

p.s.: I'm just missing black hair and wanted to go back to the good school girl look for now :P

Anyways... before I show you anything else...

I wanna feature how good they're services are!

They also save keep your hair accessories in a clear white box on your table so you won't misplace any of your hairbands and pins!
I enjoy small services like this and they must be noted!

Not only that, I'm also piled with magazines to read

(which I mostly just flip them through) when I'm bored!

Alright,

TIME TO DYE MY HAIR!
Since I've always done the descriptions for all my blog entries...

I shall let my photos do the talking!

For the hair dye here...

I'm using Loreal's New Mocha Series, no. 6.8 this time to tone down my hair colour.

For the treatment,

I'll be doing the Moroccanoil Oil Treatment for Intense Hydration.

& after the whole treatment,

it's time for some blowing & hair styling!

Here's the final result!

I love how consistent the colour outcome becomes!
Initially, I tot my bleached streaks will be difficult to cover but surprisingly,

it covers pretty well & I can't even tell that I used to have frizzy dried bleached hair before!

Plus, my hair is soooo much smoother and manageable now!

All thanks to the high performance argan oil rich formulas in the Morocannoil Treatment that dramatically improves hair texture, elasticity and shine!
